Your wedding day is one of the most photographed and cherished days of your life. To help you look radiant, feel confident and give you that sun-kissed glow - a spray tan can be the perfect finishing touch!

Here’s everything you need to know before your tan.
Things to consider before getting a wedding day spray tan
1. Book a trial run
Never get a spray tan for the first time right before your wedding. I always suggest at least 2-3 trials leading up to the day. This allows us to work together and adjust the colour or technique if needed. I would suggest a minimum of eight weeks before the wedding to fit in your trials.
2. Exfoliate & prep your skin
For the best, most even results, be sure to exfoliate your skin thoroughly before your tan. Dry body brushing is my favourite exfoliating technique and you can do this daily leading up to your tan. Avoid any oil-based products as they create a barrier on the skin which can stop your tan from developing or make it look patchy.
3. Timing is key
Get your spray tan 2-3 days before your wedding to allow the colour to fully develop and settle. This ensures a perfect, even glow and gives you time for any minor touch-ups if necessary.
4. Consider your dress & skin tone
The right shade of spray tan depends on your natural skin tone and the colour of your dress. If you’re wearing white or ivory, avoid overly dark or orange tones and opt for a subtle, natural glow.
5. Professional make-up
If you're having your make-up professionally done, discuss with your MUA that you're thinking of having a spray tan so that can advise best practices. You don't want to surprise them on the day when you're skin tone is completely different to your trial.
What kind of spray tan should you go for?
1. Light to medium glow
For a soft and natural effect, choose a light to medium spray tan. This is perfect for fair-skinned brides who want a subtle warmth without looking too bronzed.
2. Golden bronze
If you have a medium skin tone or want a bit more colour, a golden bronze shade can enhance your natural glow while keeping it wedding-day appropriate.
3. Choosing the right tone
This is where the trial run is really important. During your first trial, I will complete a consultation, where we will discuss your skin undertones, your desired look and the different tan options so I can tailor the right shade and application for you.
Benefits of a spray tan for your wedding day
1. A healthy glow without sun damage
A spray tan gives you a beautiful bronzed look without exposing your skin to harmful UV rays, reducing the risk of sunburn or peeling.
2. Evens out skin tone
If you have uneven skin tone, redness, or tan lines, a spray tan can create a flawless, even canvas for your wedding dress and makeup.
3. Enhances your features in photos
A well-applied spray tan helps define your features, making you look radiant and glowing in professional wedding photos.
4. Confidence boost
When you feel good, you radiate confidence. A sun-kissed glow can enhance your overall bridal beauty and make you feel your absolute best.
